The first anniversary edition of The Women’s Football Podcast is also Hamish’s last, so we had to make it pretty special.

Who better to draft in then as a guest presenter than Arsenal Ladies & England legend Kelly Smith! Kelly and the lads discuss all things UEFA Women’s Champions League (recorded before her second leg defeat), FAWSL, NWSL and her future plans.

If that wasn’t enough, the show also has interviews with PSG & Sweden star Kosovare Asllani, undoubtedly one of Europe’s brightest stars, and newly appointed Portland Thorns coach, Paul Riley (huge Liverpool FC fan, so he’s pretty happy).

For a period of about two years, Alex Morgan was on top of the national and global soccer world. Unfortunately, a lifetime lingering injury has all but derailed her career. And while we may look back on these clips as the best of Alex Morgan’s storied career, we can only hope that she still has more to provide in the future that are even better. Unfortunately, she no longer has both of her wings.
